Signature Divan Base
The classic. A sturdy platform-top base with no drawers, the simplest way to support a mattress properly.
2 Drawer Divan Base
Two generous drawers on one side. Ideal where the other side sits against a wall or bedside.
4 Drawer Divan Base
Maximum everyday storage: bedding, towels and spare pillows within reach from both sides.
Continental Drawer Base
Drawers set towards the foot end, so they open even with bedside tables either side.
Ottoman Side Opening
The whole sleeping surface lifts on gas struts to reveal a storage space the size of the bed.
Ottoman End Opening
Lifts from the foot of the bed, for narrower rooms where side access is tight.
Continental and 4 drawer bases start at small double; narrower widths cannot fit drawers both sides. 5' and 6' bases come in two halves that link, which is what gets them upstairs.

Every base is upholstered to order in the Venice fabric range, the same cloth as our Signature headboards, so the two arrive looking like one piece rather than two purchases.

Getting the right base
Drawers or ottoman?
Drawers are easier day to day. An ottoman holds far more but you lift the mattress to reach it. Big duvets and suitcases suit an ottoman; bedding you use weekly suits drawers.
Side or end?
Side-opening needs clear space down one side of the bed. End-opening works in narrow rooms and where the bed sits between two wardrobes.
Made to order
Built in Britain in your size, storage and fabric, typically two to four weeks. We give you a date when you order.
Delivered and placed
Two-man delivery to your bedroom for £80, or included when you buy a complete Signature divan set. Old base taken away by arrangement.
