How it works
Three steps, one visit
Most of the flooring horror stories we hear come from a bad measure: ten percent too little, or a join in the wrong place. The measure is the job. That is why Paul does it himself, and does it free.
Tell us the postcode
The form above, or a phone call. We phone back the same working day and agree a time, including evenings and Saturdays.
We come out with samples
Around forty-five minutes. We measure every room, note the doors, stairs and thresholds, and you see the samples in your own light.
Priced quote, usually same day
Flooring, underlay, fitting, door bars and uplift of the old floor in one figure, usually with you the same day and valid for 30 days. Say yes then, or think about it.

Most of our measures are within an hour of the showroom, but we regularly go to Edinburgh, Fife and Ayrshire and have fitted as far as the Highlands. If you are not sure, ask. Nobody has been turned down yet.

Questions
The ones we get asked most
- Is it really free?
- Yes. No charge for the visit, the measure or the quote, and no obligation. If you take the quote elsewhere, that is fine.
- Do I need to know what I want?
- No. Tell us the room and how you live in it, dogs, kids, underfloor heating, and we will bring the right handful of samples rather than a suitcase.
- How long does the visit take?
- About forty-five minutes for an average house. Longer if you want to talk through options, which is fine.
- What is in the quote?
- The flooring, underlay or adhesive, fitting, door bars and trims, and lifting and disposing of the old floor if you want that. One number, valid for 30 days.
- Who does the fitting?
- Paul measures and specifies the job; the fitting is done by independent flooring fitters we have used for years. If anything needs sorting afterwards, you deal with us, not them.
- What if there is a problem under the old floor?
- We quote on what we can see and measure. Occasionally the fitter lifts the old floor and finds something nobody could have known about, such as an uneven subfloor, damp or loose boards. If that happens the fitter stops and any extra work and cost is agreed with you before carrying on. It is rare, but worth knowing.
- Can I pay in instalments?
