Designer Weave is the companion to Designer Rib, and choosing between them is the main decision to make here. Both are hardwearing 100% wool in the same soft contemporary palette; the difference is the surface. Rib runs in fine parallel lines with a visible grain, so the floor has direction to it. Weave is a loop construction with no set direction, which makes it the quieter and more forgiving of the two — easier to lay in awkward rooms, less fuss at joins, and no decision to make about which way the texture runs. If you like the Designer look but the room is an odd shape, or it flows into other spaces, Weave is usually the sensible pick. The six shades run cool and calm: Pebble Shore and Tranquil Dawn at the softer end, Moon Shimmer and Ashen Sky through the middle, Frosted Steel and Chic Shadow for something with more depth. As with all wool, you get warmth underfoot, natural soil resistance and a pile that recovers from furniture rather than holding the mark. Part of the Floors by Lewis Abbott collection, distributed by Likewise Floors.

Common questions
Why is there no price on this page?
Flooring is priced per job rather than per metre off a shelf. The final figure depends on the room size and shape, the underlay you choose, whether we're lifting an old floor, door trims, and the fitting itself. Call us on 0141 266 0400 with rough measurements and we'll give you a realistic figure, or book a free home measure and we'll do it properly.
Should I choose Designer Weave or Designer Rib?
Same wool, same palette, different surface. Rib has a fine linear grain and looks sharper, but the direction it runs matters and joins need more care. Weave has no set direction, so it's more forgiving in awkward rooms and where one space flows into another. If in doubt, Weave is the safer of the two.
Is a loop pile a good idea if I have pets?
Worth thinking twice about with cats specifically, as claws can pull individual loops. If that's a concern, come in and we'll show you twist pile alternatives that behave better with pets.
Can I get a sample to take home?
Yes. We keep samples in the showroom and you're welcome to take shades away to look at in your own light. These six are close enough in tone that a screen really won't separate them, so it's worth doing.
Do you fit as well as supply?
We do. We arrange fitting across Clydebank, Glasgow and the surrounding areas, including uplift and disposal of your old flooring if needed.

We don't list flooring prices online — every job is priced on the room, the underlay and the fitting. Bring your rough measurements and we'll work out a proper figure while you wait.
