About Holland Park
Holland Park is luxury vinyl tile — individual planks or blocks glued down to the subfloor rather than a floating floor that clicks together. That construction is what separates LVT from laminate. There's no wood-based core to swell if water gets in, the floor sits dead flat and solid underfoot with no hollow sound, and if a plank is ever damaged it can be lifted and replaced individually rather than pulling up half a room. The decors are printed at high resolution and finished with an embossed surface and bevelled edges, so the texture follows the grain and the joints read as separate boards rather than a continuous sheet. On top sits a double PUR coating, which is the layer doing the work against scratches and everyday marking. The same twelve oak decors run through both formats, from the pale Bare Oak and Arctic Oak through Honey, English and Country Oak in the middle to Heritage, Monument and Smoked Oak at the darker end. Choose the format first: Classical is a straight plank for a conventional wood-floor look, Parquet is a smaller block for herringbone and chevron layouts. Then choose the colour. It takes underfloor heating, it's rated R9 for slip resistance, and it carries a 20-year residential and 15-year commercial warranty. Part of the Floors by Lewis Abbott collection, distributed by Likewise Floors.

Formats and decors
The same twelve decors run through both formats, so decide on the layout first and the colour second. Availability moves around, so ring us on 0141 266 0400 and we'll confirm stock before you commit. A parquet block looks very different once it's set into a herringbone — another reason to have us bring the samples to the room itself.
Holland Park Classical — plank
A straight plank for a conventional wood-floor look. The simpler and usually cheaper of the two to fit, and the safer choice in a smaller room where a strong pattern would crowd the space.
Holland Park Parquet — block
A smaller block, 76.2mm by 228.6mm, for herringbone and chevron layouts. More striking and more work to lay, so allow for the extra fitting time — but it turns a hallway into something people notice.
With glue-down LVT, the subfloor decides the price
LVT is bonded flat to whatever is underneath, so the base has to be flat and sound. An old or uneven floor may need levelling first, and that can move a quote considerably — which is why an online estimate for LVT is close to meaningless. Book a free home measure and we'll check the subfloor, the door clearances and the levels, then give you a written price with any prep already in it. No surprises later.

Why is there no price on this page?
Flooring is priced per job rather than per metre off a shelf. With LVT the subfloor preparation makes a real difference to the final figure — a glue-down floor needs a flat, sound base, so an old or uneven floor may need levelling first. The free home measure is the only way to price it honestly, and it costs nothing.
What's the difference between LVT and laminate?
Laminate has a wood-based core, so water getting into the joints makes it swell. LVT is vinyl through and through, so it doesn't. LVT is also glued flat to the subfloor rather than floating, which makes it feel solid underfoot without the hollow sound laminate can have. The trade-offs are that LVT needs a properly prepared subfloor and takes longer to fit.
Is it waterproof enough for a bathroom or kitchen?
The tiles themselves don't absorb water, which is why LVT is a common choice for kitchens and bathrooms. Being straight with you though: the joints between glued tiles aren't sealed like a sheet vinyl floor, so standing water left for a long time can eventually work its way to the adhesive. For normal kitchen and bathroom use it's excellent. For a wet room, ask us and we'll talk you through the options properly.
Should I choose Classical or Parquet?
Classical is the straight plank — simpler, quicker to fit, and the safer choice in a small room. Parquet is the smaller block for herringbone or chevron, which looks superb in a hall or an open living space but takes considerably longer to lay, so the fitting cost is higher. Same twelve colours either way, so it's purely about the look you want. We'll bring both to the measure.
How tough is it really?
The 0.55mm wear layer is the number that matters, and it's a solid residential specification — that's the clear layer protecting the printed decor, and the thicker it is the longer the floor keeps its appearance. Combined with the double PUR coating it resists scratches and everyday marking well. It's not indestructible; dragging furniture or grit tracked in on boots will still mark any floor, so a doormat earns its keep.
Do you fit as well as supply?
We do. We arrange fitting across Clydebank, Glasgow and the surrounding areas, including uplift and disposal of your old flooring. Glue-down LVT is a job worth having done properly — the finish depends almost entirely on how well the subfloor is prepared.
