A patterned flatweave and a matching plain in the same six tones — on display in our Clydebank showroom.

Paradise is built around a genuinely useful idea: two carpets, one palette. Paradise Design is the patterned version, woven with a subtle checkerboard effect and a highlight weft running through it, which gives the floor depth and movement without a pattern you'd call busy. Paradise Plain is the same carpet in the same six base tones with the pattern left out. Because the colours are matched exactly, you can run the Design through a hallway or a snug and the Plain through the connecting rooms, and the house reads as one scheme rather than a series of separate decisions. That's difficult to achieve when you're choosing two different ranges and hoping the tones agree. Both are a durable 90% polypropylene blend with 10% wool — the synthetic majority handles stains and cleaning far better than an all-wool carpet, while the wool content takes the hard edge off the feel underfoot. And as a flatweave, it's woven rather than tufted, so there's no pile to crush and the profile is slim enough to matter where door clearance is tight. Part of the Floors by Lewis Abbott collection, distributed by Likewise Floors.

Colours in this range
Six base tones, each available as a Plain and as a Design. Availability moves around at the mill, so ring us on 0141 266 0400 and we'll confirm what's in stock before you set your heart on a shade. Swatch images give a good guide, but the checkerboard effect is subtle and reads far better in person than in a photograph.

Common questions
Why is there no price on this page?
Flooring is priced per job rather than per metre off a shelf. The final figure depends on the room size and shape, the underlay you choose, whether we're lifting an old floor, door trims, and the fitting itself. Call us on 0141 266 0400 with rough measurements and we'll give you a realistic figure, or book a free home measure and we'll do it properly.
Can I mix the Design and the Plain through the house?
That's exactly what the range is for. The six base tones are identical across both, so the Design and the Plain sit together properly rather than almost matching. The usual approach is pattern where it earns its keep — a hall, a stair, a snug — and plain through the larger connecting rooms.
Is the checkerboard pattern strong?
No, it's subtle — a tonal effect with a highlight thread rather than a bold graphic. From standing height it reads as texture more than pattern. That's the appeal for most people, but if you want a floor that makes a statement it may be too quiet, and we'd show you something else instead.
How does it compare with your wool ranges?
It's the more practical floor and the less luxurious one. The polypropylene majority resists stains and takes cleaning that would damage wool, which suits family rooms and dining rooms. Wool is warmer and softer underfoot. Neither is better — it depends which matters more in that room, and we'll talk it through honestly.
Do you fit as well as supply?
We do. We arrange fitting across Clydebank, Glasgow and the surrounding areas, including uplift and disposal of your old flooring if needed.

We don't list flooring prices online — every job is priced on the room, the underlay and the fitting. Bring your rough measurements and we'll work out a proper figure while you wait.
