Rural Charm is a 100% pure new wool loop pile in a tight palette of six neutrals, and the restraint is the point — there's nothing here that fights with a room. Cottage Cream and Dream Decor sit at the pale end, Brushed Stone and Polished Marble bring in cooler grey, and Soft Mink and Eternal Nature carry more warmth. Pure new wool means the fibre hasn't been recycled or blended down, which is what gives the range its soft, dense handle. The practical case is straightforward: wool insulates, so a wool floor genuinely feels warmer than a synthetic one at the same room temperature; it's naturally flame-retardant; and the loop construction resists crushing, so it copes in a hallway as well as it does in a bedroom. If you want a floor that quietly makes a room feel finished rather than one that announces itself, this is the range to look at. Common questions
Why is there no price on this page?
Flooring is priced per job rather than per metre off a shelf. The final figure depends on the room size and shape, the underlay you choose, whether we're lifting an old floor, door trims, and the fitting itself. Call us on 0141 266 0400 with rough measurements and we'll give you a realistic figure, or book a free home measure and we'll do it properly.
What does pure new wool actually mean?
It means the wool is virgin fibre rather than reclaimed or reprocessed. In practice you feel it in the handle — the pile is denser and softer, and it holds its appearance longer than a blend at the same weight. It's part of why this range sits at the premium end.
Six shades seems limited — is that a problem?
Not usually. It's a deliberately edited neutral palette rather than a small range, and neutrals are what most people end up choosing anyway. If none of the six is right, come in and we'll show you Ascot, Chantilly or Middlemarch, which cover similar ground with more colours.
Can I get a sample to take home?
Yes. We keep samples in the showroom and you're welcome to take shades away to look at in your own light. Neutrals in particular shift a lot between showroom lighting and a north-facing room, so we always recommend it.
Do you fit as well as supply?
We do. We arrange fitting across Clydebank, Glasgow and the surrounding areas, including uplift and disposal of your old flooring if needed.
