Vitality Aqua is the water-resistant member of the Vitality laminate family, and it exists to solve the one real weakness of standard laminate. Ordinary laminate is a wood-based board with a printed decor on top; get water into the joints and the board swells at the edges and stays swollen. Aqua is built specifically to resist that, which brings laminate into rooms it would normally be the wrong answer for — a kitchen, a hallway that takes wet boots all winter, a downstairs cloakroom. The decors are all oak, running from Honey and Sunset at the warm end through Brandon, Newport and Sandstorm in the middle to Frozen, White Oiled and Ocean Grey for cooler schemes. It clicks together as a floating floor over underlay, so it's quicker to fit than glued vinyl and can usually go straight over an existing solid subfloor. Distributed by Likewise Floors.

Common questions
Why is there no price on this page?
Flooring is priced per job rather than per metre off a shelf. The final figure depends on the room size and shape, the underlay or subfloor prep, whether we're lifting an old floor, door trims, and the fitting itself. Call us on 0141 266 0400 with rough measurements and we'll give you a realistic figure, or book a free home measure and we'll do it properly.
Is water-resistant the same as waterproof?
No, and the distinction matters. Water-resistant laminate is built to survive spills and wet footprints that get mopped up in a reasonable time — that covers normal kitchen and hallway life. It is not the answer for a bathroom that gets standing water, or anywhere a washing machine could flood. For those rooms we'd steer you to sheet vinyl or LVT instead, and we'd rather say so now than sell you the wrong floor.
Does it need underlay?
Yes. It's a floating floor, so it needs underlay beneath it to sit properly, deaden sound and handle small variations in the subfloor. Underlay choice also affects how the floor feels and sounds underfoot, so it's worth a conversation rather than defaulting to the cheapest roll.
Can I get a sample to take home?
Yes. We keep samples in the showroom and you're welcome to take shades away to look at in your own light. Colour changes considerably between showroom lighting and a north-facing room, so we always recommend it.
Do you fit as well as supply?
We do. We arrange fitting across Clydebank, Glasgow and the surrounding areas, including uplift and disposal of your old flooring if needed.
