The Plain: a flat, padded headboard with no pattern, the quiet option that lets the fabric do the talking. A 24-inch strutted headboard from our Signature range, upholstered in Britain in the same fabrics as our divan bases so the whole bed matches. It fixes to the back of any standard divan with the two struts supplied; no tools beyond a spanner, and it sits at the right height for a mattress up to around 30cm deep.

Fit and fabrics
- 24" (61cm) above the top of the divan base; on a standard base that is about 100cm from the floor to the top of the headboard.
- Made to the width of the bed: single 90cm, double 135cm, king 150cm, super king 180cm.
- Bolts to the back of the base on two struts, supplied. No wall fixing.
- Fabrics: Brooklyn, Carina, Milan plush, Venice, Heritage, Ascot, wool, linen and crush ranges, in a palette from lace white and eggshell through quill grey, glacier and fallow grey to the deeper saturn, asteroid and hummingbird shades. Samples of every one are on the counter in Clydebank.
