About the base

Divan bases 4'6" and 5' arrive in two halves split across the width; a 6' arrives as two 3' halves. Only a single is one piece, so most bases get up a tight stair more easily than the mattress.
An ottoman gives you 27cm of storage depth under the whole bed, around four times what a drawer divan holds, and the whole top lifts on gas struts with the mattress in place.
A 2 drawer base needs about 56cm of clear floor at the side for the drawers to open; a 4 drawer needs it on both sides.
Standard base height 34cm on 5cm glides, 39cm from the floor to the top of the base.

Fabric and colour

Base and headboard are upholstered in your choice of Brooklyn, Carina, Milan Plush, Venice, Heritage, Ascot, Wool or Linen, 69 colours in all, at no extra cost. See every swatch, then tell us your choice in the order notes at checkout. We will call to confirm before anything is made.

Sizes and fit

Small single 75 x 190cm, single 90 x 190cm, small double 120 x 190cm, double 135 x 190cm, king 150 x 200cm, super king 180 x 200cm. King and super king are 10cm longer than the smaller sizes, which matters in an alcove or a small room.
A mattress comes in one piece, so measure doorways, stair turns and landings at the full width before ordering a super king.
On our standard divan base the top of the base sits 39cm from the floor; add the mattress depth for the finished height of the bed.
Made to order in Britain, typically two weeks. Delivered to the room of your choice with the packaging taken away.

The ottoman is on the showroom floor in Clydebank so you can try the lift for yourself.

What does delivery cost?

Two-man white glove delivery to the room of your choice, £80 across the UK mainland (Northern Ireland £149). We carry it in, assemble anything that needs it and take all the packaging away. Once your order is ready we phone you to agree a day. Collection from the showroom is free.

Will it fit through my door and up the stairs?

Check the sizes in the description against your narrowest door, turn or landing. If you are not sure, send us a photo and a couple of measurements on WhatsApp and we will tell you before you order.

Can I choose the fabric or colour?

Yes. Bases and headboards are upholstered to order, so pick the fabric you want. See every swatch or come and feel them in the showroom. We call to confirm your choice before anything is made.

Can you take my old bed away?

Yes. We can take your old bed away when we deliver the new one. Just tell us when you order and we will confirm it when we book your delivery day. We always book the day with you first, so our drivers never just turn up.

Can you make a bed I have seen somewhere else?

Very likely. Our beds and headboards are made to order in Britain, so send us a photo on WhatsApp with the size you need and we will quote to have it made, in your choice of fabric. We can make headboards in custom sizes too.

Can I see it before I buy?

Come and see the range and finishes in our Clydebank showroom. We are inside the Co-op Department Store on Sylvania Way, Clydebank G81 1EA, with free parking and lift access, open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm. Plan your visit

Can I spread the cost?

Yes, in our Clydebank showroom. We can arrange 0% finance over 4, 6, 10 or 12 months through Payment Assist on purchases from £301 to £5,500. Finance is set up in store, not online, and is subject to status, 18+. Online, you can also pay in 3 with Klarna at checkout, subject to eligibility. How our finance works

What if I change my mind?

Made to order, backed by us. This is built to your specification, so it cannot be returned or cancelled once in production unless faulty. Manufacturer guarantees apply as set out in the description, and if something arrives damaged or develops a fault, tell us and we will sort it with the maker on your behalf.
